Starting yesterday at 6:45 AM after approximately 11 hours of driving at Bruce speed, we ended up 625 miles south in Emporia, Virginia where the drawls are thick, the food is good and the weather is relatively balmy.
It's unseasonably warm in Savannah. Some people (tourists, not locals) are out in tank tops! Too bad schools are closed yet again. But good they can have lots of snow fun.
Good thing you left yesterday because the snow is falling steadily back here in Belmont. Schools are closed and the kiddies are happy.
